Study in South Korea

Go straight into an English-taught Bachelor's at a Korean university with your IELTS — no language course first. A modern, safe country with lower tuition than the UK, Australia or Canada, and merit scholarships that make it work on a budget.

WHY SOUTH KOREA

Why students choose South Korea

  • Quality on a budget

Well-ranked universities with tuition well below most English-speaking destinations — and scholarships that cut it further.

  • English-taught, IELTS-based

Many programs in business, engineering and IT are taught in English. Admission is on your HSC/A-level results and IELTS — no Korean needed to start.

  • A path after graduation

Graduates can switch to a D-10 job-seeking visa, and Korean picked up along the way opens doors with Korean employers in Bangladesh too.

ONE TEAM

Everything from shortlist to arrival.

One counsellor handles your whole journey, so nothing falls between a university, an agent and a travel agency.

  • University shortlist with scholarship options
  • Application, SOP & document review
  • Scholarship applications, including GKS
  • D-2 student visa file, A to Z
  • Dormitory & accommodation guidance
  • Pre-departure orientation for you and your family

Not included: tuition and living costs, application and visa fees paid to universities and embassies, and the financial proof shown for the visa.

INTAKES

Two intakes a year — March is the bigger one.

IntakeApply (typical)Good to know
March 2027 (spring)Oct – Dec 2026Most programs and scholarship places
September 2027 (fall)Mar – May 2027Fewer programs; good second chance

Typical windows — each university sets its own deadlines, and scholarship rounds can close earlier.

PLACES

Where students live

  • Seoul

Most universities and part-time jobs, the biggest international community — and the highest rent.

  • Busan

Coastal and relaxed, with good universities and noticeably lower living costs than Seoul.

  • Daegu & Daejeon

University and science cities with affordable living and strong engineering programs.

ELIGIBILITY

Who can apply

  • BACHELOR'S

    HSC / A-level, GPA 3.50+ typical

IELTS 5.5–6.0 · Higher results improve scholarship chances.

  • MASTER'S

    Bachelor's, CGPA 3.00+ typical

IELTS 6.0–6.5 · Research programs may need a professor's acceptance.

Documents we'll help you prepare

  • Passport & photos
  • SSC & HSC certificates, marksheets
  • Bachelor's certificate & transcript (Master's)
  • English test result, where required
  • Statement of purpose & CV
  • Sponsor's bank statements & income proof
  • Apostilled / attested academic documents
  • Certificate of Admission

Typical starting points — every university and course sets its own rules.

FINANCIAL PROOF

Show you can cover your first year.

For the D-2 visa you usually show a bank balance of around USD 20,000 (≈ ৳24.4 lakh) (amounts vary by university and region) held for some time before applying. Scholarships reduce tuition, but the proof of funds still matters.

Do

Keep 6 months of steady statements, tax papers and a clear source of funds.

Avoid

Sudden large deposits, unexplained money and last-minute paperwork.

LIFE IN SOUTH KOREA

Work, housing and what comes after.

  • Part-time work

After your first semester, D-2 students can usually work about 20–25 hours a week with permission, more in vacations. It helps with living costs — not tuition.

  • Dormitories

Most universities offer on-campus dorms for international students — the most affordable and easiest choice for your first year.

  • After graduation

The D-10 job-seeking visa lets graduates stay and look for work in Korea.
