WHY THE NETHERLANDS

Why students choose the Netherlands

  • Thousands of English programs

More English-taught Bachelor's and Master's programs than any other non-English-speaking country in Europe.

  • Two kinds of university

Research universities for academic degrees, and universities of applied sciences for practical, career-focused Bachelor's.

  • Orientation year

Graduates can stay for a year to look for work or start a business.

ONE TEAM

Everything from shortlist to arrival.

One counsellor handles your whole journey, so nothing falls between a university, an agent and a travel agency.

  • Honest university & course shortlist
  • Applications, SOP & document review
  • Scholarship search
  • Offer conditions & deadlines tracked
  • Visa file & interview preparation
  • Pre-departure orientation for you and your family

Not included: tuition and living costs, application and visa fees paid to universities and embassies, and the financial proof shown for the visa.

PLACES

Where students live

  • Amsterdam

International and exciting — and the hardest place to find a room.

Business, law and international relations, with slightly lower rent.

  • Utrecht & Leiden

Classic student cities with top research universities.

  • Eindhoven & Groningen

Technology in Eindhoven; a lively, affordable student life in Groningen.

FINANCIAL PROOF

Proof of funds before the permit.

Your university checks that you can cover a year of living costs — a monthly amount set each year (around €1,000+ a month (≈ ৳1.4 lakh+) recently) — often by transferring it to the university, plus tuition.

Do

Keep 6 months of steady statements, tax papers and a clear source of funds.

Avoid

Sudden large deposits, unexplained money and last-minute paperwork.

LIFE IN THE NETHERLANDS

Work, housing and what comes after.

  • Part-time work

Students can work up to 16 hours a week during the year (with a work permit your employer arranges) or full-time in June–August.

  • Accommodation

Housing is the biggest challenge — start looking as soon as you accept your offer.

  • After graduation

The orientation year (zoekjaar) lets graduates stay up to 12 months to find work.
